Andrew Ramsey
Andrew is a keen cyclist, hill-walker, swimmer and photographer. He is also a keen amateur astronomer, a member of Abingdon Astronomical Society, and, since seeing his first total solar eclipse in 1999, is a devoted solar eclipse chaser.

Andrew Ramsey is an X-ray CT specialist and software developer at Nikon Metrology UK (formerly Metris UK, and before that X-Tek Systems Ltd.), Tring, Hertfordshire. He has worked in X-ray computed tomography since 1994, spending the last nine years with Nikon/Metris/X-Tek.
Andrew graduated in Physical Sciences from Girton College, Cambridge in 1986. He joined the UK Atomic Energy Authority at Harwell in Oxfordshire where he developed image processing and analysis software for several NDT techniques. There he finally specialised in X-ray Computed Tomography and was asked to join X-Tek Systems in 1999. At X-Tek Andrew developed a CT reconstruction algorithm which now forms the basis of X-Tek CT systems.
