Anastasiou Magdalini is a PhD candidate at the Physics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She began her studies at the Department of History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After taking her BSc with Major in Archaeology in 1999, she began new studies at the Department of Physics of the same university. She got her BSc in Physics with Major in Astronomy in 2004 and a MSc in Computational Physics in 2007. At the April of 2008 she began working on her PhD "The Antikythera Mechanism: Astronomy and Technology in Ancient Greece".
